German
multinational engineering and technology company Robert Bosch’s (Bosch) job
postings in India sharply increased month-on-month from 605 roles in December
2021 to over 1,000 job postings in January 2022. Year-on-year, job adverts in
the country increased by a staggering 189% in January 2022, according to the Job

Bosch added
around 4,200 job postings globally as of 21 February 2022, taking the total job
openings to around 12,900 roles, the highest in over a year. The company is enabling
driver assistance programs and futuristic mobility, besides focusing on
developing projects around solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) and digital-twin

Sherla
Sriprada, Business Fundamentals Analyst at GlobalData, says: “Bosch has the
largest development center in India outside Germany that specializes in
end-to-end engineering and technology solutions. Most roles in 2021 were for
software engineers, web developers and database architects. In addition, Bosch
announced to create 3,000 jobs at its new R&D center in Hyderabad, India,
by 2025.”
The
company increased hiring for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) ‘projects
2022’ in India. The company is developing Autosar components for autonomous
driving vehicle software development. Besides, Bosch listed multiple ‘Business
Development Manager’ roles in 2022 to expand its network while stitch alliances
with central and state government in India.
For
the APAC region, the company listed ‘Chief Digital Transformation officer,’
focusing on driving automation in supply chain and logistics. Another role for
‘Digital Transformation Lead’ shows the company is strengthening portfolio of
digital activities for Bosch power tools and accessories business units.
Sriprada
concludes: “Bosch is upgrading its infrastructure and e-commerce capabilities,
developing B2B portal strategies besides strengthening digital competencies. While
it is looking at digital transformation in the APAC region, the company is hiring
e-commerce specialists for auto aftermarket parts in the EU region, among
others.
“Bosch listed multiple ‘Talent
Acquisition’ and ‘Recruitment’ related roles since January 2022. Some of such
roles are for a 12-month contract focused on meeting recruiting targets. The
company is poised to hire more in 2022, including in India where hiring has
been significant off late.”
