Summit Strength Co. Opens Third Colorado Location in Fort Collins with Expanded Small-Group Training Program

FORT COLLINS, CO — March 2026 —

Most people have had the big-box gym experience. Crowded floors, equipment you’re not sure how to use, a membership card that starts collecting dust by February. Summit Strength Co. was built as a direct response to that model and it looks like Fort Collins was ready for something different.

The fitness studio, which already runs locations in Boulder and Colorado Springs, opened its third Colorado gym this month in Fort Collins. The format is the same one that’s worked at the other two locations: small training groups capped at six people, coaches who track individual progress across every session, and programming that adjusts based on how someone is actually doing — not just what the six-week plan says.

“Fort Collins has been on our list since we opened Boulder,” said co-founder and head coach Jake Merritt. “The community here is serious about being active, and they’ve been asking us to come north for a couple of years. We took our time getting it right rather than rushing to open.”

The Fort Collins location includes dedicated spaces for strength and conditioning classes, mobility and recovery work, and a new eight-week introductory program specifically designed for people who have never trained with a coach before. That program, Merritt says, tends to have the highest retention rate of anything the studio offers because it removes the intimidation factor that keeps a lot of people from ever walking through the door.

A two-week free trial is available for new members through the end of April.
