“We had ranchers calling us from two or three counties away because nobody else would drive out there,” said operations director Tim Haugen. “Expanding our service area wasn’t just a business decision. It was the right thing to do for the people who needed us and weren’t being served.”
Prairie Sun’s agricultural solar packages are built specifically for working farm operations. Panel placement options are designed to work around existing irrigation infrastructure, outbuildings, and livestock areas a practical consideration that generic solar installers often overlook when proposing systems for rural properties.
The company manages the full process from initial assessment through permitting, installation, and utility interconnection, so landowners don’t have to navigate multiple contractors or government approval processes on their own.
Financing options are available, including lease programs that allow installations with no upfront cost. A free on-site energy assessment is offered for qualifying residential and agricultural properties through June 2026.
